Equestrian centre

A great location for riders
A dream stud farm…
Blue sky, spacious meadows, a few olive trees, elegant white fences… Feel like horse riding, leather and the sensation of floating on air? … Facing the Château des Launes, foals frolic and magnificent horses graze peacefully… Silence, space, satisfaction…
A paradise for horses, riders and Provençal lovers
Surrounded by the vineyard with its fragrance of lavender and the sounds of birdsong you will find… Four paddocks, eight professional stalls (4m-3.50m, 13ft-11.5ft), two young horse stalls (6m-3m, 19ft-9ft), and a dressage arena (70m-25m, 229ft-82ft) - an ideal setting. The facilities have been specifically designed to accommodate international dressage shows and freestyle tests. Tack room, laundry room, bathroom… The dimensions of the stone stables at the Château des Launes comply with the official regulations for competitive horses. Close to the stables, and just a few short steps from a superb swimming-pool, are four detached holiday cottages with shady terraces.
For the love of horses
Walk, trot or gallop, this is heaven for horses and their riders. The ground is perfect thanks to a watering system that guarantees optimal quality all year round. The 15m (49ft)diameter lunge ring is particularly well adapted for young horses. Need a sound system for your freestyle test? The outdoor PA system is perfect. Here, riders train for their freestyle tests to their chosen music and in international dressage test conditions. The unique light during the day and calm of the Provencal nights ensure outstanding video images throughout your dressage course.
A complete training centre - an ideal place to train
Show jumping, eventing, teaching, professional training, stage management of equestrian displays... The equestrian courses organised at the Chateau’s stud farm are given by judges, international riders and trainers from the French Equestrian Federation.
Well accompanied hacking
If you feel like hacking, then the equestrian centre of the Château des Launes can help. The National Park of the Massif des Maures with its cork oaks, its pines, its chestnut woods and its winding paths are directly accessible from the stable. And if you wish to go hacking in the vineyard around the Château des Launes, we have a gelding KWPN ‘KALIMERO (« KRATU »)’, a ‘Paint Horse’ - ‘PEPPER’, and two ponies, IVAR and PENNY, trained by Rosalie and Julia Dielesen.
A thoroughbred reserve
Throughout the year, unique horses are bred in our equestrian centre, and our professional team of experts including blacksmiths, osteopaths and vets all contribute to their growth and development.
An artistic vision of horse riding
Our dressage shows, performed by Jacqueline Dielesen and her daughters, attract more and more equestrian amateurs. Come and admire them perform during our open days organised every year at the Château des Launes.
