Papillon des Launes rosé
A Var Variation in Pink Major
Papillon des Launes rosé 2010
Open a bottle of "summer holiday" to rediscover the perfume of flowers,
creeks and ever-blue skies.
- Gold Medal: Concours Général Agricole de Paris 2011.
- Terroir: Light in structure : a silt soil composed of gneiss and schist mixed with bits of clay on a fractured base of sandstone.
- Grape variety: A mix of old Cinsault (70%) and Grenache (30%) vines- a wonderful expression of our silica-based soils.
- Production: 50 hl / ha.
- Harvest: Hand-picked. Selected on the vine and in the cellar on a vibrating sorting table.
- Vinification: A few hours of maceration followed by gentle pressing in our pneumatic wine-presses. Fermentation at low temperatures (15-16° C) to conserve all the aromas. Light assembly then clarification by natural sedimentation.
- Characteristics: Very light pink, peach in colour. Intense nose, blending the aromas of English sweets, tropical fruit and peaches. Well-rounded and very aromatic on the palate. An acid touch keeps all the aromas alive and offers a fresh, long mouth to finish.
- Aging Potential: A wine to enjoy today and keep for up to two years.
- Accompaniments: Sun-dried tomato cake, thyme and tapenade, vegetable tian, Pistou soup.
